What we keep, and why.
OceanCrest AI collects as little as it can, keeps most of it in our own Microsoft Azure account, and deletes it when you ask. Last updated November 2, 2026.
Forms and email.
When you book a meeting, download a paper, sign up for Currents or leave your details at an event, we keep what you typed (name, email, organization and your answers) so we can reply, send what you asked for, and, if you ticked the box, send our weekly email. Every email from our list has an unsubscribe link that works in one click.
The AI Diagnostic.
The AI Diagnostic reads a year of a business's bank and card spending to show how AI-native the business is. Here is exactly what happens to that data.
- Plaid connects your bank, read-only. You sign in to your bank in Plaid's window; we never see or store your bank username or password, and the connection cannot move money. Plaid's own privacy policy is at plaid.com/legal.
- We read once, then disconnect. We ask Plaid for up to twelve months of transactions, add them up by merchant in memory, and remove the connection straight away. A connection that hasn't been removed within 30 minutes is removed automatically.
- Single transactions are never stored. What we keep is a total per merchant (for example, “Zapier, about $30 a month”), the rundown made from those totals, your answers and your result. Transfers between your own accounts, card payments, loans and money coming in are left out.
- Buoy sees merchant names and totals only. To write your rundown and questions, Buoy (our AI assistant, running on a model hosted in our Azure account) is sent merchant names and monthly amounts, never account numbers or single transactions.
- An anonymous row for the comparison. When you finish, your industry, company size, score and station are kept without your name or company, so later businesses can see how they compare. Diagnostics run on the sample company are never counted.
- How long. A diagnostic you finish is kept until you delete it. One you don't finish is deleted after 30 days.
- Deleting it. The result page has a Delete my data button that removes the totals, your answers, your result and the anonymous row at once. You can also email us.
Your name, email and company go on our email list with a “diagnostic” tag so we can follow up about your result; Currents is only sent if you ticked the box.
Buoy.
Buoy answers questions on this site and inside the OceanCrest AI app. Questions you ask on the site are sent to the model to be answered and are not kept with your name. Buoy's model runs in our own Azure account; we don't use what you type to train any model.
Who else sees it.
We don't sell personal information or share it for advertising. The services that hold or process it for us are Microsoft (Azure, where our data and Buoy run, and Microsoft 365 for email and calendars), Plaid (bank connections), and Netlify (which hosts this site). Each handles it under its own terms and only to provide its service to us.
Your choices.
Ask us what we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it, by emailing eliyahu@oceancrest.ai. We answer within 30 days. Unsubscribing from our list takes one click in any email it sends.
We review this page every six months, and whenever what we keep changes.
